As an Ace team member, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the community by assisting customers with their projects. No previous hardware experience is required, retail background and cashiering is a plus. Customer service and computer skills a must. We provide extensive training, making it a perfect opportunity to learn and grow with us. This position is for 15-20 hours per week, this is for morning shift and mid afternoon to close on weekends and possibly some weekdays. Our store hours are Mon-Sat 8am to 7 pm and Sunday 9am to 6pm.

• Be proficient in all store technology including POS system

• Posses a vast product knowledge of hardware related products along with a willingness to learn

General Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

Upholds the Vision, Mission, and Core Values of the company. The primary responsibilities of the Rental Specialist position are to assist other rental specialists, maintain helpful customer service, process sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently, and perform rental department operations.

Position Summary:

This Area Manager will create and manage an attractive Paint Studio along with meaningful product offerings and customer experience.

Responsible for leading and managing associates involved with activities in the front and back end of this department which include check-out areas, returns, special services, computer systems and receiving. Store Operations

• Ensure a positive, professional and safe work environment for all associates.

• Supervise the “general operations” of the entire store.

• Responsible for opening and closing the store.

• Assist with the implementation of Store Support Center programs.

• Ensure successful Loss Prevention, Safety and Internal Audits.

• Work with Store Managers and Assistant Managers on all aspects of running the store.

• Participate in weekly management staff meetings.

• Communicate issues to the appropriate Store Support Center department with Store Managers' approval.

• Assist with special projects within the district as set forth by the District Manager.

• Implement new Standard Operating Procedures into store execution.

• Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise areas.

• Ensure that weekly price changes and label updates are completed timely and accurately.

• Oversee all cashiering functions including training, maintenance, audits, and reports.

• Manage and direct preventative maintenance and repairs in order to maximize and protect all physical assets (i.e. building, fixtures and equipment).

• Visit competition to be familiar with what they are doing.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Inventory & Merchandising

• Assist to ensure forklift operations and receiving is completed in a safe and efficient way.

• Assist to ensure receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise adheres to best practices and Standard Operating Procedures.

• Responsible for maintenance of back stock levels.

• Assist to ensure that cycle counts and negative on hand reports are completed timely and accurately.

• Assist in ordering and maintaining desirable product inventory levels to ensure in-stocks and store profitability.

• Assist with merchandise resets throughout the store.

• Assist to ensure all signage is current in the store.

• Assist in presenting a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and promotional and incremental merchandising.

Hiring & Training of Associates

• Assist in training of all associates.

• Actively recruit and promote the advancement of Westlake Ace associates.

• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, reviewing, rewarding and coaching Head Cashiers and Cashiers with the approval of the Store Managers.

Leadership

• Manage all aspects of store operations in the absence of the General Manager.

• Lead by example; be approachable by all associates and customers.

• Participate in store meetings.

• Communicate any merchandising, cost control or sales idea to the General Manager for follow up.

• Prepare and challenge yourself for future advancement.

Other Essential Requirements

Education

High School or GED equivalent. Completion of NHRA Advanced Course in Hardware Retailing recommended.

Experience

Previous retail management experience preferred. Hardware experience preferred.

Our Colorado Springs distribution center is looking for Warehouse Specialists to add to our team as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing product fulfillment services to our Ace Retailers and their communities. In this role, you will work as a part of a Values-Driven Culture team to service Ace Retailers by warehousing Ace merchandise and fulfilling orders, including responsibilities in Receiving, Stocking, Order Filling, and Shipping:

• Receiving: Utilize forklift, and/or other power equipment to unload freight, and process product via RF Scanner onto dock in preparation for stocking.

• Stocking: Use of RF Scanner to resupply bins, and maintain inventory freight in preparation of order picking while on foot or reach lift.

• Order Filling: Use Voice Collect headset to select and stage merchandise for transport, while efficiently fulfilling orders via foot or forklift.

General Summary

We are seeking a detail oriented and helpful individual to fill this Area Manager position of POS Supervision and Receiving Merchandise in order to provide amazing customer service. This Area Manager is responsible for both overseeing and supporting Point of Sale and the Receiving of all outside vendor merchandise not sourced from Ace Hardware directly. Experience in leading, coaching, and teaching team members is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Provide positive representation of store.

• Proactively assist customers in solving problems.

We are looking to hire a hardworking, self-motivated, and customer-centered Shift Supervisor. Our Shift Supervisors not only open and close the store, but they play a key role in providing legendary customer service to our customers and in building customer loyalty, as well as providing the overall direction of store associates and coordination of store operations in the absence of key store management. Don't know anything about hardware or tools? No problem! You will be trained in the services we offer, including duplicating keys, mixing paint, dispensing propane, cutting glass and plexiglass, cutting lumber and pipe, issuing game licenses, and much more. Our training program ensures all new employees become proficient at performing all services.

You will be responsible for providing leadership to the store team as well as finding helpful solutions to customers' home improvement needs (or what we like to call getting to know people through their projects). In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring all opening/closing duties are performed, including handling all cash and cash deposits. In the absence of management staff, you will serve as the “Manager on Duty” by directing the store team, and adhering to company directed policies and procedures as they relate to the store operations, receiving of merchandise, store opening and closing processes, cash register transactions, daily cash reconciliation, and inventory control.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to work five eight-hour shifts per week in which some days you will be opening at 7:30am and some days closing at 7:30pm.
• High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of retail experience.
• Technically proficient in computer systems including related software.
• Gather and analyze data and maintain accurate records.
• Take initiative, assume responsibility, and execute thoroughly.
• Interact with staff at all levels of the organization.

Position starts at $19.00 per hour with opportunities to earn more as you learn more.

Our Colorado Springs distribution center is looking for Professional Truck Drivers to make an impact and support our retailers with direct-to-store deliveries. Backed by a team of traffic and safety experts, Ace Drivers receive continuous support to ensure safety and efficiency when delivering product to Retailers and are one of the revered “Faces of Ace,” working independently to provide superior customer service and the Ace Helpful experience on and off the road.

Eligibility and Requirements

• Valid CDL with hazardous material endorsement (or 90 days to obtain)

Position Summary

Upholds the Core Values as determined by the management team. Primary responsibility for all positions with Ace Hardware Longmont is to Amaze Every Customer Every Time. Floor associates are responsible for engaging the customer, determining their needs and projecting requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

● Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise (as arranged by management). Maintain your assigned areas and assist with other areas as necessary: Keep clean, organized and fully stocked.

● Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management displaying a “Speed is Life” attitude. Move with a sense of urgency while paying attention to the details.

● Cooperate with others and work well as part of a retail team, for example actively participate in daily huddle meetings, share ideas for improvement with management.

● Remove promotional bin tags from displays, and price tags as required following sales events, flyers, etc.

● Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings.

● Handle special orders for all non-stock items. It always takes two associates to say “No.” Never tell a customer no without checking with another team member.

● Watch for shoplifters and take action, in line with company policy, that will discourage shoplifting. Excellent customer service and interaction prevents shoplifting.

● Provide the best possible experience for Every Customer, Every Time by being helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.

● When you are not with a customer, cleaning or completing assigned tasks, stand in a main aisle to get the best view of customers coming into your department. Walk up and down the main aisles to be sure customers are being assisted in all departments. Avoid personal conversations with co-workers on the floor.

● Serve Customers in assigned departments, and storewide, and provide needed advice or information, greet customers as soon as you encounter them.

● Demonstrate the S.A.L.E.S. process

● Actively participate in store communication and initiatives (e.g., Communication Board, Daily Huddle, store contests, etc.)

● Assist Customers with simple complaints/concerns; get a manager involved with problems as needed.

● Use the Five Foot Rule – greet and/or acknowledge all customers within five feet of you all the time.

● Always be polite and attentive to customers. Make eye contact and smile. Do not avoid customers.

● Promote the Ace Rewards program to all customers, describe the Ace Helpful Promise(s) and use the Magic Question.

● Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisement so you can tell customers about special sales.

● Always wear your radio and headset in order to effectively communicate with other associates or management.

● Respond to team member questions and phone calls as needed.

● Assist customers with large or heavy items as needed.

● Offer customers a red basket or cart for their shopping use.

● Assist in the training and development of peers.

● Respond to requests for back up cashier as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY

Upholds the Vision, Mission, and Core Values of the company. The primary responsibilities of the Retail Sales 1 Associate positions are to

maintain outstanding customer service, generate sales throughout the store, effectively merchandise products, process sales quickly, accurately,

and efficiently handle cash register operations and assist in retail stocking, resets, labeling, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES·

• Ensure each customer receives outstanding customer service which follows the S.A.L.E.S process and by mystery shop standards
• Accurately and efficiently ring on registers and maintain all cash at registers·
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements
• Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management

• Experience providing estimates (time/money) for jobs and billing, highly preferred.

• Delivering excellent customer service.

• Be able to become OSHA 10 Certified after 90 days of employment.

• Own your own tools.

General Summary

The Sales Associate will assist in the receiving, stocking, pricing of all merchandise and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Customer Service:

• Provide a positive representation of Timberline Ace Hardware.

• Proactively assist customers in solving problems.

• Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.

• Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.

• Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.

• Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.

• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.

• Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.

Store Operations

• Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.

• Assist with stocking of merchandise throughout the store.

• Assist with maintaining back stock levels.

• Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock rooms, bathrooms and outdoor merchandise area.

• Assist with merchandise resets through the store.

• Provide assistance, i.e. price changes, seasonal changes, special orders, deliveries, loadouts.

• Ensure signage is current throughout the store.

• Be professional in appearance and actions.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Other Essential Requirements

Must be friendly and able to work well with others, must be able to work weekends.

Education/Training

High School or GED equivalent/or previous retail and or customer service experience. Prefer experience in any trades field such as construction, landscape, electrical, etc.

Experience

Retail experience preferred.

Physical Demands

Standing, walking, lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs unassisted. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.

Assistant Manager Job Description

Major Job Responsibilities:

• Greet, welcome and work with customers to ensure that they have a positive experience in the store and that if they have a problem, it’s solved before they leave; this includes the use of Ace’s W.O.W. process,
• Possess strong knowledge of store layout and most, if not all, of the store’s departments and services
• Help the store achieve Ace’s Pinnacle status and perform well within the outlined metrics provided by Ace and the store’s management team
• Use provided communication and own tools in an effort to help the team work in the most efficient way to best serve customers
• Act as the store’s representative when necessary and set a great example for our staff
• Help create a positive, professional, clean and safe environment
• Utilize available resources to effectively solve problems
• Pursue learning opportunities and trainings as recommended by the store’s management team(s) and by self identification. Facilitate training and share knowledge as necessary.
• Remain in touch with daily operational goals and plans as outlined by store management
• Have an awareness of store promotions and various advertisements, promote the Ace Rewards Program
• Remain honest and communicative with customers, associates and management
• Ensure that any call, page and in store order is answered to quickly, politely and efficiently
• Help with regulating retail inventory to reduce shrinkage and maintain appropriate stock levels
• Direct the shipping, receiving and inventory flow of the store as needed
• Enforce safety policies and procedures; be a safety role model
• Serve as a second set of eyes to cashiers, be an expert in Point of Sale, and authorize overrides and returns in alignment with company policies
• Balance cash drawers and make inferences if something is not correct with drawers
• Follow all opening and closing procedures in order to make sure the store is ready for customers and ready to be closed for the evening.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Minimum Requirements

• High school or GED, equivalent experience
• A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction
• Ability to work in teams and communicate frequently, well
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays depending on the needs of the business
• Due to the potential of using power equipment and the store’s scheduled hours, applicants must be at least 16 years of age
