JOB DESCRIPTION: Business to Business Sales Specialist

(Inside B2B Sales)

 

Reports to: Store Manager, B2B Outside Sales Manager

Direct Reports: None

 

Position Summary: The primary responsibility for all positions with Country Ace is to Amaze Every Customer Every Time and uphold the Core Values as determined by the management team.  As the B2B In-Store Sales Specialist, you will provide amazing customer service to all our customers, with a focus on assisting our local businesses.  You will introduce Country Ace Hardware solutions, products, and services to our business neighbors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct support to B2B Sales Manager (outside sales).
  • Generates new internal leads and builds relationships, connecting over the phone, in-store visits and in-store workshops and events.
  • Meets new and current business customers and learns their business needs and purchase habits.
  • Picks & pulls special orders, and/or B2B customer delivery items.
  • Generates customer special orders, invoices and purchase orders.
  • Markets program to Business-to-Business in-store customers.
  • Generates in-store sales leads from potential new customers.
  • Creates and maintains customer relationships.
  • Learns customer base by speaking with customers, understanding their buying influences, and making purchase recommendations.
  • Performs product research for unique and special orders via internet research, vendor calls, etc.
  • Generates customer quotes and processes customer orders.
  • Empower and involves entire store personnel in the B2B sales process.
  • Proactively develops a culture of B2B with our in-store sales team
  • When not assisting business customers or the B2B Sales Manager, acts as a Sales Associate on the floor assisting neighbors and participating in aisle
  • maintenance.
  • Any other tasks as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong computer and technology skills.
  • Knowledge of retail computer software and point of sale (POS) systems.
  • Knowledge and ability to use computers Excel.
  • Comfortable contacting existing customers and qualified leads by phone, email and in person.
  • Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational and time management ability, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs.
  • Ease and knowledge of telephone, email and in person contact for customer interaction.

Education & Experience:

  • High school degree, some college preferred.
  • Previous retail sales experience, direct sales, or back-office functions
  • Establishes and maintains strong working relationships.
  • Self-motivated and able to work as a team.     
  • Work in fast paced, continuously evolving environment.

 Physical Requirements:

  • Sits, stands and walks for extended periods.
  • Bends, stoops, grasps products, and climbs ladders.
  • Lifts loads up to 40lbs unassisted and able to push and pull carts with products.
