The Garden Lead role combines expert horticultural care with proactive team leadership and high-standard retail operations. Primary responsibilities include managing the lifecycle of live goods—from ordering and receiving weekly stock to supervising essential plant maintenance like watering, deadheading to ensure a lush, healthy inventory. Beyond plant care, the position focuses on driving a customer first culture, where duties include mentoring staff, restocking merchandise displays, and executing promotional setups with a sense of urgency. Central to the role is a commitment to the "Every Customer, Every Time" philosophy, which involves providing expert gardening advice, assisting with heavy items to ensure a helpful and welcoming shopping environment.
The Garden Lead will maintain a proper in-stock level of merchandise and strive for product knowledge in all areas of the store to enhance customer service. Leads will assist
in maintaining clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness. The Garden Lead will also assist in managing and directing staff to achieve company
goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of previous retail management experience. We are looking for qualified individuals and to offer a career path and opportunity to grow and advance.
The ability to lift 50 pounds consistently, and to stand and walk for up to 8 hours during shift are required.
