Business to Business Inside Sales Specialist

Wenatchee, Washington Retail

Reports to: Store Manager/GM Direct Reports: None

Position: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Pay range:  18-23$ hourly

Position Summary:  The duties of this position are to be performed while demonstrating all of Stan’s Core Values.  The Inside Business to Business specialist introduces Stan’s business solutions, products, and services to business customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to Outside B2B sales
  • Generate new internal leads with businesses by building strong relationships, via in person visits, and over the phone connections.
  • Meet new and current business customers, learning their business needs and purchasing history/habits.
  • Work with the outside B2B/warehouse operations to pick and pack “will call” and special orders, along with B2B delivery items. 
  • Generate customer invoices and PO’s
  • Market our program to internal B2B customers
  • Champion and foster a “selling culture” with the sales associate team, as well as the leadership team to drive additional B2B customers.
  • Generate internal sales leads from potential new customers.
  • Create and maintain customer relationships at a high level.
  • Learn the customer base by speaking with customers, understanding critical/seasonal market buying influences, as well as making purchase recommendations.
  • Perform product research for unique special orders via internet search and vendor calls.
  • Generate customer quotes and process custom orders for B2B customers through partnership with the outside Sales B2B specialist.
  • Work with the Hardlines/Softline's buyers to establish sourcing of products from vendors to meet the needs/demands of the business customers.
  • In partnership with the Store Manager, monitor competitions pricing, product assortment, services and fees to ensure we remain competitive. 
  • Empower and involve the entire store team on all B2B sales processes.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent computer and technology use skills including the use of computers, portable printers, internet, mobile phone, etc.

• Knowledge of retail computer and Point of Sale (POS) systems and Google products including e-mail and spreadsheets and docs.

• Ability to teach and train store associates on The Supply Place catalogue.

• Knowledge on pricing and the ability to perform pricing comparison, to help determine margins or markups when determining pricing for customers.

• Comfortable contacting existing customers and additional leads by phone, email or in person.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage time well and multitask to meet deadlines.

• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the business.

• Bilingual is a plus but not required

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or General Education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

• Possess product knowledge of hardware, business and/or consumer products and a willingness to learn more about the products and hardware business.

• Experience in a retail environment with exposure to Business to Business, or direct sales is a plus.

• Outside sales experience including establishing and maintaining relationships and accounts strongly preferred.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to stoop, grasp, reach and climb ladders if needed.

• Must be able to bend and lift loads, up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and able to push and pull carts with product on them.

Other Qualifications

  • Valid WA State Drivers License with a clean driving record in accordance with the company’s insurance carrier’s standards.
